| Income | Uses adjusted total family income. Applicant and spouse’s most recent Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment. Total Family income less $3,000 credit for spouse and each dependent child under 18 years. If income decreases by greater than10% they can apply for re-assessment. To do this they must project what their income for the current year will be, providing eg bank statements, unemployment receipts, etc, times number of remaining payments in the year to calculate the current year estimated income. This is reviewed and if accepted adjustments made. Currently it takes 8 to 10 weeks if non emergency. |
