Family Health Benefit Program

Co-payment

client pays the professional fee as a co-pay.  Program pays for the medication.

Income:

PEI  families with at least one child  under 18 years of age, or at least one full-time student under 25 years of age, with total annual net family income less than $24,800.  Income criteria increased by $3,000 for each additional child under 18.  Must apply.

High Drug Cost Program

Co-payment

Income based portion of drug cost plus pharmacy professional fee.   Portion of drug cost may range from $2.00 to all of the drug cost. 

Income: Based on Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment or Re-Assessment for each person in your household who completed an income tax return in the previous year.   If financial circumstances changes substantially in current year it would be taken into consideration on a case by case basis

Diabetes Control Program

Co-payment

$10.00/unit or $20.00/two unit box of insulin;
$11.00 per oral medication prescription;
$11.00 per prescription for testing materials.
All other costs and professional fees are paid by the program.
